Now that we are halfway through August and getting closer to the end of the year, it is time for another dividend update. Things have been harder since i lost dividend income completely in Disney, Boeing, Delta, Kohls, and a few others that decided to cut back. Still, a diversified portfolio helps weather the pain and reinvesting dividends helps as long as the income has a margin of safety.

June 2020 Dividend Update
June has already came to a close and we are halfway through July as well. I have been working a lot of hours at work in an attempt to lower my overall school debt and save some money. The market has held up well considering all the issues we have going on in the world. There have been a tough pills to swallow with dividend cuts and eliminations, but hopefully they are shorter term rather than long term. I look forward to some of these companies coming back againand being stronger than ever in the future while rewarding loyal shareholders.

May 2020 Dividend Update
We are almost halfway through 2020 already and we have already had quite a busy year. Some companies are struggling worse than others from the pandemic shutdowns and some companies have eliminated their dividends. I hope that this will be short lived and these dividends will be restored again soon.

April 2020 Dividend Update
I am finally done with my MBA and graduated. With everything going on I was not able to walk, but the final audit shows that I have fulfilled all the requirements and the degree will be mailed eventually. We are already into May and I turned 34 years old yesterday. It is getting harder to be a dividend investor recently with all the cuts and suspensions.

March 2020 Dividend Update
This is a challenging time for some companies having to adapt to new and unexpected times. Some companies have had to shutdown operations and thus either cutting or eliminating dividends. I took a few big hits as a result that will decrease my income in the near future. The big eliminations were Boeing, Delta, and Ford. Other monthly payers cut some substantially. I am hoping these are not going to be permanent moves and have not changed much. I regularly have been buying KO and DIS in one of my accounts through automatic direct debit withdrawals.

Guest Post-Sure Dividend
Bob over at http://suredividend.com reached out to me recently about sharing a guest post here.I have not done this very often on my site, but have a lot of respect for the research they do over there. I have read quite a bit of the content they put out and find it high quality. I am happy to share what they put together for you all to read. He has identified 3 companies who are likely to weather the next recession that appears to be heading our way. All 3 companies have raised their dividends for 50+ years and show no signs of stopping. It is good timing to share this post right now for what is currently happening in the world. I also work in the healthcare field which makes it hard for me to put out much original content while working Full Time and finishing up my final class MBA class.
I would love to hear comments and suggestions on anything here as always. Feedback in the community is what makes blogging exciting and being able to learn from each other is an excellent thing.

February 2020 Dividend Update
We are halfway through March already and I am looking forward to the weather getting warmer and finally finishing school. I have sold quite a few shares of some of my dividend stocks when they were still higher then they are now. I have bought a cheap stock that went south so far, but taking a hit on my dividend income. I am still investing twice a month in CocaCola and Disney once a month in a separate account after selling a lot of my KO holdings in primary account.
