  3. Woah Swan. Great results here in 2017 and 2018. That is quite the list of companies that paid dividends here in December. What brokerage do you use?

    1. Bert,

I tend to have a longer list of companies than a lot of us. Just seem to have some speculative ones and some DGI safer ones as well. Seems to have worked decent so far. Hope your 2018 is going well so far.

I use E*TRADE for this traditional brokerage account. Originally it was HarrisDirect when I was younger and eventually turned into E*Trade.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Wow, that's a huge number of companies paying you for the month of December. Congrats on crossing $3,000 in passive income for the year. That's a nice level of money for not working.

    1. Chris,

Thank you! I like that blog name you got there. Nothing beats being able to earn a decent amount of income without forcing yourself to work especially if you find yourself in an undesirable situation.

      Also, a great first name!

    1. dividendgeek 2045,

I used to have even more monthly payers. I had to sell and get rid of some school debt though. Judging by the name, are you looking to retire by 2045 or sooner? Sounds like a plan!

      Thanks for stopping by!

  9. i was curious to see how much you have invested over time with the portfolio you are building but i didn't see any of those numbers.... my dividends grew to ~11.3k tax free and ~1.9k taxable this last year... i would love to have a million dollars earning 6% in dividends thus 60k/yr 5k/mo-1k/mo for taxes resulting in 4k/mo income flow and have no debt... it is a slow growing process that i have been learning a lot about.

  10. Like everyone else has said, that is a big list of companies! Some people disagree, but with names like BA, MSFT, and JNJ, I don't see the need to devote too much time in researching them. I can sleep easily at night with those types of companies in my portfolio. What a month!
