On March 29, 2016 I purchased 1.5337 shares of Walt Disney Company (DIS) for $97.13/share. With this March purchase my shares of Disney have reached 92.6295. I still plan on continuing my monthly accumulation phase into more Disney stock.
DIS is a good company. It's got a solid history and great numbers. Their future will be something to watch to see if that dividend ever becomes big enough to make a solid dent in dividend payments.
I like Disney even with the sudden departure now of Thomas Staggs. I prefer they find a strong successor to Iger if he is not extending beyond 2018. I hope it takes another hit so I can accumulate cheaper shares. As for the dividend it is not bad now that they went to semi annually instead of annually and raising it often.
The dividend appears to be sustainable with all the businesses lined up with products and films for years to come.
